We have a unique clientele here at the Outdoorsman.
Here is a really great example that one was happy to share.
Michael Davidson is planning to leave in 2024, on a 3 year, walking journey.
Flying into China, walk into Tibet, then Butan, Nepal, crossing into India, Pakistan, nipping across Afghanistan, quickly into Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany and then perhaps pop into Belgium via Luxembourg and back to England via France.
Michael came into the shop on a blisteringly hot Thursday, asking our advice about boots, and explaining what he was planning.
So, naturally we had a chat with him, showed some footwear and then watched him leave, walking back to Bexhill in flip flops.
LonelyPlanet have a ThornTree section which has a similar vision, about 7 years ago. link
